ASPHALT INSPECTION:
To ensure that the surfacing crew performs at optimum effectiveness, we closely supervise the laser limited bituminous paving of the competitive surface by controlling adherence to the specifications for type and temperature of materials as delivered, application depth, compaction, planarity, and interface with the infield and contiguous areas as stated in the contract specifications for each.
INVENTORY CONTROL:
Ensure materials arrive in proper amounts, in appropriate containers, and are handled with EPA approved methods.
QUALITY CONTROL:
Full time oversight of polyurethane paving including, if applicable: edge preparation and taping, cleaning and tack coating, equipment preparation and cleaning, grinding and beveling of cold joints, pouring, raking, and broadcasting, brushing and reclamation, and cleanup.
- Careful control of onsite chemistry to insure the urethane is mixed in correct ratios.
- Surface testing during installation for proper depth and to prevent intrusion by debris.
OVERSIGHT OF APPLICATION METHODS:
- Ensure use of clean operative equipment.
- Ensure asphalt is cleaned, dry, and inspected prior to rubber application.
- Require straight edges.
- Point out weather-related risks during material application
FINAL INSPECTION:
Identify all defects, causes and remedies.
